Where the book money goes
I keep none of the money.
Every dollar of profit from every paperback, hardcover, and audiobook of Get RICH Boring goes to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Why Lurie Children's
Kids are the future.
It's hard to see any child suffering, especially from something no family can control.
Lurie Children's is the largest pediatric provider in the Chicago area and the top-ranked children's hospital in Illinois. It cares for every kind of childhood illness and injury, from cancer to heart surgery to the emergencies nobody sees coming, and it does it for every child who comes through the door.
As a dad, I can't imagine what those parents go through. I can't take that away from them, but I can help the people working every day to make it better. That's why every dollar of profit from the paid copies of this book goes to Lurie Children's.
Life is the most important thing there is. Every kid deserves the chance to have one, and to build one.
No child is turned away
As a nonprofit hospital, Lurie Children's says it is dedicated to giving every child a healthier future, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
More than 266,000 kids a year
Lurie Children's cares for more than 266,000 children each year, and treats more children insured by Medicaid than any other hospital in Illinois.
Research that travels
Its research institute runs studies led by over 750 researchers, so what's learned treating kids in Chicago reaches doctors far beyond it.
The book is free on YouTube and as an ebook because I never want money to stand between anyone and this system. The paid copies are for people who want one on their desk, and when they buy one, a child gets help.
Local hospital, global reach. Research done at Lurie Children's is published and shared, so what they learn treating kids in Chicago reaches doctors everywhere.
The math
Where every dollar goes
The same rules apply to every paid copy: paperback, hardcover, and audiobook. Here's one paperback as an example, line by line. Before the donation, only three things come out: the costs of making and selling the book, a reserve for the book, and the taxes owed on what's left.
The reserve is $1 per copy. It covers necessary costs like fact-checking, legal, and accounting, and can pay for promotion like ads, so the book reaches more people, which means more copies sold and more for Lurie Children's. Anything not needed can be donated too.
Nothing goes to me. Nothing goes to any owner or partner. I make $0 from the paid copies.

Each year's sales are tallied once the year closes, then donated. I add every donation right here, with the date and the receipt, so anyone can check that the promise is being kept.

If the charity ever changes. Lurie Children's is where the money goes today. If I ever find a better fit for helping kids, I may choose a different children's charity. If that happens, I'll say so right here, and every donation, to any charity, will still be listed in this table.

Lurie Children's does not sponsor or endorse this book. Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is an independent charity. It has no involvement in Get RICH Boring, Filip Boksa, or BookingKoala, and it does not sponsor, endorse, or review this book or anything in it. I chose Lurie Children's on my own and donate to them independently.
