About Filip Boksa

I started my first business in the home cleaning industry when I was 19 with my best friend from high school. Together we invested $6,000 and grew the company to over $5,000,000 in revenue within three years. Later I Co-founded BookingKoala with the developer who built King of Maids and who today is one of my closest friends. BookingKoala is home to thousands of entrepreneurs worldwide, and my main goal is to turn the company into a unicorn while taking $0 in funding.

How To Realize When There Is Opportunity

Opportunities are all around you, and trust me; they don't wait around forever. Take the example of Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Facebook) and his Harvard story. The story goes that Zuckerberg invited five friends to discuss a business opportunity. Only two friends showed up and got in on the opportunity. Today both of those guys are billionaires.

So how do you know if there is an opportunity?

There is only one way; it's called being ready for it. You can turn any opportunity into a success story, but it's always up to you to make the first move. The only reason people fail is that they quit too early.

Take the story from above; how hard was it to show up and say yes? Maybe at least try it out for a few weeks. What did you have to lose? If the idea failed, another one could have been started.

When I started at 19, I was ready. I was hungry, and I had a lot of opportunities lined up for me. I was in college, living at home, entirely financed by my parents. I was smart enough to take advantage of that opportunity. By the time I moved out, my company had made millions in revenue. I didn't make excuses that I only had a few thousand dollars, and that it wasn't enough. I was grateful that I had the opportunity, and I knew if I want to succeed, I need to take it now. Waiting won't do me any good.

If you want something, you won't wait for more opportunities. I guarantee you that there are enough of them right in front of you this very second.
